Limbuwan calls strike ‘to foil NC’s mass assembly’ in Jhapa

Limbuwan.blogspot.com/BIRTAMOD,
Jan 31 - Federal Limbuwan State Council (FLSC) Thursday announced a strike in Jhapa district ‘to foil the mass assembly of Nepal Congress (NC)’ scheduled to take place in Birtamod.
The NC is organising the mass assembly as a part of its election campaign for the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) elections slated for April 10.
The sudden strike called by the agitating group has had minimal impact.
Local NC leaders said that they will defy the strike as it was aimed at disrupting the mass assembly alone and not for any political agenda.
The organisers used private vehicles to ferry people to the programme after general people attending the gathering were facing difficulties as public vehicles did not ply the roads because of the strike in the district.
